Beware: Media Whores at Work

Introduction — November 19, 2013

Naftali Bennett: the face of an oppressed Jew? Or the new face of ZioNazism?

Robert Lenzner, the writer of the following really gives credence to accusations that most corporate media journalists are little better than intellectual whores. Not once in his article on Israel’s Economy and Commerce Minister, Naftali Bennett, does he seriously question his claim that Iran is only “6 weeks” away from producing a nuclear bomb.

What’s more, Lenzner fails to mention that this “new rock star politician” is riding the crest of a wave of popularity in the Zionist state. Making him earlier this year “the second most powerful man” in Israel.

Worse still, Lenzner fails to put his claim into perspective. For allegations that Iran is close to producing a nuclear bomb have been a stock in trade among Israeli politicians for decades now.

As far back as 1992 Netanyahu was saying as much. While in 1995 the New York Times reported that “senior American and Israeli officials” claimed that Iran would be able to build a nuclear bomb in “five years“.

The following year Shimon Peres was saying much the same thing with a similar timeline. Yet as we know now Iran still hasn’t developed a nuclear weapon.

However, that hasn’t stopped Israeli politicians making more predictions about Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon. Nor have they prompted the writer of what follows to question claims that Iran is close to obtaining a nuclear bomb, “unless the U.S. stops them”.

Instead, being a true corporate media cock-sucker Lenzner is too busy giving credence to Bennett’s claim that Iran is an “obvious threat to the survival of Israel”.

While in the tradition of false and failed prophecies about Weapons of Mass Destruction, Lenzner is also helping to pave the way for military action. Just as similar claims about Saddam’s Weapons of Mass Destruction were used to prepare the public for the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Another military campaign drummed-up by the same whore journalists in the pay of the same corporate media.

Although of course, once the occupation of Iraq was established it became apparent that there were no WMD but by then it didn’t matter anyway. The lies had achieved there purpose and opened the way for bloody occupation and nearly a decade of internecine strife.

Now it appears that Robert Lenzner and “investors bible” Forbes Magazine are attempting a similar ruse with Iran. Fortunately however, a broad swathe of the public are increasingly aware of how they are being lied to by both media and politicians.

So it remains to be seen if it leads to a similar outcome. Or whether some sort of judgement ensues.

Iran Can Have A Nuclear Bomb In Six Weeks Unless The U.S. Stops Them

Robert Lenzner — Forbes Nov 18, 2013

Naftali Bennett, Israel’s Economy and Commerce Minister, warned this morning that if the U.S. decides to relax economic sanctions on Iran, and does not insist on its dismantling its uranium enrichment capability, Iran will be able to manufacture a bomb in only 6 weeks, an obvious threat to the survival of Israel. It is this very sharp policy difference with the U.S. that is causing increased tension in the relationship between the two nations.

Bennett, the leader of the ultra-nationalist Jewish Home Party, also told a group of investment bankers and lawyers at the Skadden Arps law firm headquarters in Times Square that if Iran is allowed to build a nuclear bomb, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf States like Abu Dhabi and Dubai will feel the need to arm themselves as well, which will trigger a dangerous competition for deadly weapons in the Middle East.

Israel, backed by France and several Arab states is pressing for even greater sanctions to force Iran to completely dismantle its uranium enrichment capability. Under this scenario, Bennett predicted, it would require 3 whole years for Iran to rebuild its bomb making capability.  If the U.S. does not hold firm, as it did with the Soviet Union in 1986, then Iran could strike at some later date when the world powers are distracted by another economic crisis or some “domestic” problems, Bennett explained under questioning.

Bennett compared today’s diplomatic confrontation to 1981 when Israel acting alone in a surprise attack, wiped out an Iraqi nuclear reactor, setting off much  negative  in the United States and elsewhere. ” Just imagine if Saddam Hussein had achieved a nuclear bomb, or Syria had one today, it would be very dangerous,”  Bennett insisted.

The comparison between the 6 weeks necessary to build a single nuclear bomb and the 3 years required to restore its nuclear capability underscored the importance of the negotiations today. Bennett also  suggested that the American offer to relax sanctions for 6 months while talks continue, was a strategic mistake, because Iran is not really giving up any capability for the next 6 months. In fact, Iran presently  has 18,000 centrifuges, including 1000 of the advanced type,  according to Bennett, so that even if it disposes of its present supply of enriched fuel, Iran has the centrifuge capacity to make a new bomb every 6 weeks.

Bennett prefers for President Obama to take a leaf from President Reagan’s  strategy book, and deepen the sanctions  that are severely damaging Iran’s economy, just as Reagan did in 1986 with Prime Minister Gorbachev, that resulted in the collapse of the Soviet empire 4 years later.

Though tourism and investment in Israel are under-performing  from past peaks, Bennett waxed enthusiastically about five themes he is emphasizing to attract capital and infrastructure investment. They are a natural gas development that will make Israel energy independent,  advanced water technology to  increase the nation’s water supply, agriculture and farming,  helpful to nations with large populations like India and the ambitious plan to turn the desert city of Beersheba into the global capitol for the development of cyber security. In addition, he’s planning to break up the monopolies in the airline industry and the cement industry, while opening up the ports in Israel.

The Minister also believes the infusion of the ultra Orthodox and Israeli Arab women into the economy will work to increase economic activity just as the immigration of 1 million Russian Jews did some decades ago. He flatly predicted that the value of real estate in Beersheba would triple over the next several years, and said he would buy some if he weren’t in the government.

Naftali Bennett is the former co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cyota, a successful technology company that was merged into another company in the business of preventing fraud in e-commerce. At the breakfast meeting today, Bennett claimed that 7 of every 10 transactions made over the internet using the credit cards of Bank of America BAC +2.08%, Citibank and Chase are handled by his former company in such a way as to avoid detection.
